UniSA International Office has won Event Two of the 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Cup, which was the first VC Cup event held at the newly opened Pridham Hall.

It was the first time a VC Cup event has been held at City West campus.

Sixteen teams entered the Badminton competition, with over 70 staff and students participating.

UniSA International Office won ahead of the School of Engineering Team One in second place, and the School of Natural and Built Environment in third.

Captain of the UniSA International team, Joel Espartero, said competing in the VC Cup strengthened the comradery of the office.

“It was very heart-warming to win, especially as it was the first time UniSA International joined the VC Cup,” Joel said.

“It was so uplifting to see the UI staff paused from their work to cheer and support us.

“We enjoyed the day very much and it definitely strengthened our already strong friendship.”

This comes after the student’s team from the School of Information Technology and Mathematical Science won Event One of the VC Cup, the Table Tennis competition at City East campus.

At Brookman Hall, the School of Health Science finished runners-up while the students School of Marketing team placed third.

Event Three of the VC Cup will be the Volleyball competition, held at Magill campus on Friday, August 31.
