This week we profile Divyesh, one of our UniSA Sport Activators who also represented Team UniSA at the 2019 UniSport Nationals T20 Cricket tournament. Divyesh has greatly assisted the UniSA Sport team at many campus events and also dedicates his time as a volunteer throughout other areas of the university. Check out our chat with Divyesh below to find out more about him!
I’m studying Master of Environmental Science (LMEV) at UniSA.
I play cricket and snooker in my spare time.
Last year, I represented the UniSA Sport in the game of cricket at UniSport Nationals 2019. In this tournament, our team #TeamUniSA finished at fourth rank. I have also been involved with UniSA Sport as an Activator in events such as Open day, Ride 2 Uni Day, UniTopia, Campus Fair, and I lead a lunchtime walking group on and off-campus.
Since I became involved with UniSA Sport I have gained important training and skills through the Activator program that have been useful to my personal development. I enjoyed assisting UniSA Sport staff in various events and to welcome new students.
I’m connected with UniSA student engagement unit as an UniMentor. I contact my mentees (new students to UniSA) throughout their first study period to see how everything is going and if they have any questions. Moreover, I’m also part of UniSA+ Student Leadership program, Illuminate Program 2020. And, I feel that the University values my role in the UniSA community.
Sports enthusiastic person they can be, and a people’s person who has great passions and a time commitment to attend different events throughout the year for encouragement of different sport activities. I would recommend being a UniSA Sport Activator to other students.
During this pandemic situation, I do workouts and I eat healthy food and vegetables to keep myself well and good.
I’m fond of listening to music. I like music albums from Alan Walker and especially the song ‘Heading Home’.
