The closest Vice Chancellor Cup ever has been run and won, with the School of Information Technology Mathematical Science (ITMS) winning the 2019 competition by only one point.
ITMS earned the overall victory after securing a second-place finish in the final event of the 2019 VC Cup – the 3on3 basketball event on Friday.
There was a fantastic turnout at the Mawson Lakes Sports Centre, with 11 teams and 41 players participating.
It was the School of Education staff team who beat them on the day, dominating on the court to finish on top and be crowned the basketball winners.
The points haul ITMS gained from finishing runners-up was enough to land them on top of the overall leaderboard.
They beat the reigning champions – the School of Health Science – by the smallest of margins.
It is the second time ITMS has won the VC Cup as they were the inaugural winners in 2016.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the VC Cup in 2019 and congratulations to all the winners.
