UniSA Sport offers student-athletes the opportunity to participate in the Athlete Development Program, a sport-specific training program assisting students in the pursuit of sporting excellence, while balancing academic endeavours at UniSA. Thirty six places will be offered within the program each year, aimed at developing athletes who may not have the current training and support available to reach higher levels in their chosen sport.
What does the Athlete Development Program offer? The Program offers student-athletes with strength and conditioning support, tailored to the individual and aligned to current program and sporting coach requirements. A key benefit of the program is unlimited access to UniSA 's gym, pool and fitness facilities, to train on campus with oversight from highly qualified staff. In addition, participants will have access to student-led allied health services in the areas of physiotherapy, podiatry and exercise physiology to assist in assessing and managing new or existing injuries.
