UniSA Swimming Club

Q: How do I join the UniSA Swimming Club?
A: You can attend any of our listed training times listed on our website and trial the club for 7 consecutive days. Please contact the club via email, Facebook message, or Instagram message. You may be required to show reception staff proof of attending a trial session with the swim club. 

Q: Do I have to be a UniSA Student to join the club?
A: No!! Anyone can join the club. We accept UniSA students, staff, alumni, and community including other university students and staff. 

Q: I haven't swam in a long time or am not a confident swimmer, can I still join the club?
A: You can still come and try the session out but please be mindful that the minimum requirement to join the training sessions is to be able to swim 100m of Freestyle, Backstroke, or Breaststroke without stopping. If you have further concerns regarding your swimming ability, please contact the Head Coach, Andrew via email at unisaswimmingclub@gmail.com or message us on Facebook or Instagram. Swimming lessons are also available at UniSA, please contact us for further information. 

Q: How much are the club memberships?

Q: Why do I need to purchase a "Join Team UniSA" membership?
A: All UniSA Sport club members must hold a valid Join Team UniSA membership, previously known as UniSA Sports Clubs and Events membership. Please follow this link to understand the perks you receive and why it is a compulsory membership to obtain. 

Q: Are there any other fees I must pay?
A: You will be required to pay pool entry fees which are subsidized by the club when you purchase your UniSA Swimming Club membership or are within your 7-day trial period. Discounted pool entry fees at Pridham Hall are $3 per person, per entry (valid from 15 minutes prior to training times only). At Unley, the fees are a little more expensive and is paid to the coach or committee member via EFTPOS, cash or bank transfers only. Do not pay entry fee at the entry to the lifeguards and advise them you are attending the UniSA Swimming Club training. Training cost fees will cover your pool entry and assist the club with lane hire payments. Concession card holders or under 18 years of age is $8 per session, non-concession cardholders aged 18 years and older are $10 per session. 

Q: I purchased a UniSA Swimming Club membership only but now I want to compete at Masters. Can I still purchase a Masters membership?
A: Yes! You can purchase a Masters-only membership for $97 by selecting "12 Month Swimming Membership 2023 (Existing UniSA Swimming Club Members ONLY)" by visiting this link and following the prompts.
